Default Succulents: Is it okay...

...if I use Orchiata in the potting mix?

I don't want to buy another bag of media just for a plant or two. I have couple/more sizes of Orchiata, I'm thinking of making a blend with akadama and...?

I think I have pumice, perlite, seramis (the smaller size), LECA, kanuma (acidic), a bonsai mix (pretty sure it has peat-so probably not useful) and maybe other stuff.

I don't want an overly complicated mix but need to know what properties are needed for succulents (I don't know which yet, I have a long list.) . Whether I pursue this might depends on the replies.

TIA

The addition of dolomite is specifically why I'm asking.

This thread reveals so much about my ignorance....I know like 60% of those words

That said...I grow my succulents in potting soil mixed with perlite and lava rock....as long as they get plenty of sun and don’t stay wet they are happy

Sharp drainage is the main thing. But it's more complicated than that. Some of mine can stay constantly moist during the spring and summer growing season no problem, but rot if I sweat too close to them during the winter. I keep Stapeliads in a mix of silica sand and peat moss, so acidity is no issue for them. I go for about 75% sand 25% peat moss for them.

So...

I soaked the plants in ancient kelpmax for a couple of hours and planted them in ~ equal parts orchiata, perlite and akadama.

KelpMax will work as well with them.
