Marty, I believe that, because of your healthy lifestyle, you WILL be OK!! Since the cardiac issues showed up so young, I'm sure it is genetic. My dear dad had cardiac issues since he was in his 50's - back in the 70's. One triple, one quadruple bypass, pacemaker/defib unit installed, all through these 40 years hence. But - the guy biked his way all over Chicago most of his life. He smoked but quit a week before his first bypass (1977) This dear man lived with cardiac issues until July of last year, and what killed him was NOT his heart, but a fall that caused 2 subdermal hematomas. I guess the the point is that you really CAN overcome the genetics of heart disease. Prayers for you, Marty!

Thanks everyone for the good wishes! Getting better day by day, but definitely not going crazy with it.

Thanks for letting us know that you are on your way toward recovery.
