Server Issues - Orchid Board

We're still being plagued by some server issues. That's the main reason why the forum is soo slow sometimes

I've disabled some of the functionality to see what's causing the memory leaks.

just an FYI, the following have been disabled
-invitation system
-arcade
-glossary
-world member map
-latest posts

I will also be adding additional 2GB of RAM to our server to make it a bit better equipped to handle the spking high loads. hopefully that will improve things on our end.

Thanks, Marty, for all your efforts. Despite some minor frustrations with speed, this is still the best site I've had the pleasure being part of!

by the way, the server will go down for a few minutes for the memory upgrade. For once, this is a scheduled outage

any real or perceived improvement??? Upgrade is done. We did bunch of tweaks on the server too. I'm still not sure if that fixed the problem, but I'm hoping it at least made things a bit faster

Seems OK this AM. Things were a little iffy yesterday.

Just wondering... is the 'latest posts' permanently disabled, or only temporarily?? I found it really useful. It was easier to see what was going on the the OB!

That will be back, I'm trying to make it a bit more functional, if I can't it will go back to the same version..

btw, the server seems to be running a bit smoother now...anyone else notice it or it it just my wishful thinking ?

Hey the server has been slow lately but today it's zooming along. Thanks for the speed enhancement today.
