Has Anyone Flowered Eriopsis sceptrum? Male
Default Has Anyone Flowered Eriopsis sceptrum?

I'm in the process of putting together an order with Ecuagenera to pick up at the upcoming SEPOS show, and while perusing the availability list I came across the beauty in the thread title. A quick look at the IOSPE entry gives me the impression that this one is right up my alley. But a deeper look online seems to show a pattern of people who have no problem keeping and growing them, but can't get them to bloom. Has anyone reliably bloomed this plant? Any cultural tips from such a person will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

A very old thread. Nor could I resist Eriopsis sceptrum from Ecuagenara, which just arrived.

Did you see this?
Orchid News 22

I found this link in a message from kavanuru, who sadly no longer posts here:
Eriopsis - how to cultivate

Or this:
Eriopsis
"Terrestrial species should have a mix with 80-90% sand."
