Default its alive, its alive

Its alive,
My habenaria medusae x pecteilis susannae cross which I bought at the world orchid conference, and presumably dead is alive! Today as I do every day I looked at his tuber and instead of a dead like dormant tuber I found a new growth
Now the next question is how should I properly care for it? when should I plant it now or wait a wile? What pottingmjx should I use? I have at this moment bark, and peat mixed with silica sand. And one more thing what does the flower look like, I cant find any photos online?

Plant it now! Waiting only increases the risk of damage to the new growth. My experience with the genus is somewhat limited, I would think a sand sphagnum mix would be best, but just a guess.

Check out this link if you haven't found a picture yet:

I just remembered that at the converence they had a pic of Hab. Medusa's and not the strange cross. So no one knows it might be Medusa or the cross between the pecteilis

you need to get it out of that mix. it really need to be wet. if you skip out on a week of watering in that bark mix where it gets a little dry, it'll kill it
