Back to the real subject....Laelia liliputana is one that I would like to get eventually. Does it require any extra care because of it's miniature size?

I only have one rupiculous, a lundii, and it has been just struggling along for two years now. Has some fresh new growth but no signs of blooms. Seems a tricky one to me! Well done for you, Jerry!

Becca, the plant is growing in a two inch pot with a medium bark, perlite and charcoal mix. It dried out in one day so I mulched the top with moss to retain a little moisture.
David, I treat the lilliputiana just like the other Laelias. It seems to be real easy to grow but it may be impossible to bloom.

Sorry Becca, I did not answer all of your question. The other Laelias are growing in a mix of 50/50 medium bark and diatomite.

Becca, I just noticed your avatar. It looks like Aerangis luteo-alba var. rhodosticta. I just received a small seedling from Botanica Ltd. growing on a piece of cork and it has two spikes that are coming along just nicely after having it for about a month. I was concerned that they might blast during shipment but they were ok.

It is! They are such lovely little things! I'm still trying to figure out what it wants for growing conditions....it blooms...but not to it's full potential!

Becca, I think they thrive on low light, even moisture, high humidity and light applications of fertilizer.

Thanks Jerry! I have been trying to lower it's light levels since the leaves are telling me the lighting might be to much...not color wise but length wise! All new leaves grow pretty short in length and not nice and long like you would typically see on them!
