Well, it's a tropical plant... So it would be a lot harder for you than for DC... I have a friend in my area who's a better outdoor grower than I am, who has a nice pot of it, that started from one of those little pieces that he got at the Honolulu airport. I have tried a couple of these, that didn't make it. I have one where I bought a somewhat larger plant that I'm trying on the patio... I think it will make it. But to get a big one, it really wants to be a lot warmer. They also need a lot of sun.

I’ll send you a keiki to kill, WW

Is the last one a Trichoglottis atropurpurea? It's wonderful!

I once thought of buying one of those but then I chickened out, since I don't think it would do too well in low humidity...

DirtyCoconuts 09-18-2020 03:14 PM

Great eye!! It is.

She’s a new plant to me but she loves it with the vandas.

This one does like both humid and warm. For me, definitely greenhouse. South Florida is more like home...

I won't kill the keiki Judah... I grow lots of tropical plants here in Kansas. We call it growing inside the house.

Those purple blooms are killer nice! And what is blooming in those sarracenia pics? Are those from the sarracenia or something else? While you're at it... I think that lizard likes me. Perhaps it wants to come live here. I think you need an ongoing thread in Off Topic called WW's Lizards and everyone can start posting lizard pictures there.
