Default Maxillaria tenuifolia

Thought I would share this. I know everyone has one and my showing is less then spectacular with only 2 flowers, But I am quite proud as i seem to really struggle with this one in the past.

This is the second time I have flowered this myself. I am a very neglectful care giver for my orchids and this one does need constant water. It has done well considering. After this blooming cycle I am hoping to re-pot this into a much more water retentive mix.

Even with just 2 flowers the scent is lovely!

Don't pay any attention the emaciated bulbs

Gorgeous! I hope mine blooms this year. Do you find it needs a temperature difference between day and night to induce blooming?

Yes this one is definitely a water guzzler. Pretty sure your next showing will be more blooms. Mine started like that then slowly picked up.
