Cool newbe

Helllo I am Patricia, and for sometime now I have been wanting to have a hobbie since I have move from a beautiful valleyto the desert, where I know no one. My kids r grown w/ childern of their own. Now its just my husband my dog Fred n myself. Being a city girl I now live a 100 miles from my family n friends. I have no reason to do anything here. There isn't even a bus I can jump on. So I have this cymbidium that I have had forever. Its hasn't flowed in 2 1/2 yrs. The time we moved out here. Now I dont like the heat so I haven't taken time for my plant. Its since been repotted with Miracle grow n has a lot of dead bubs. I cut away the dead bubs n repoted it in bark n moss it was 2 potted plants that were in bad shape but got rid of the 2nd pot n put both in one pot. Now I'm on my way to buy some fertilizer any advice?
