Thank you all! I've been browsing the forum and there's so much knowledge and information here it's almost overwhelming. I must admit that not only do I have a thing for Phal equestris but I've also started eying Paphiopedilum... I believe that this genera will be the next one I'll start collecting (in a couple of years or so). :D

Welcome! and I loooove Sweden! :)

Phal equestris are cute, lots of little flowers with nice scent.
Paphiopedilums are also great, since I've been living in an apartment with not much sun. I'm moving to a super bright place soon and I'm not sure how I will handle the light with my paphiopedilums, but I'm excited as I am thinking of collecting high light orchids along with some regular flowering houseplants. yay!!!!!

Welcome Mutanten! ;) I recognize you from Neovita's forum. Nice to see you here too! :)

Hello!
What username do you have there if I may be so bold and ask?

Saiva 02-18-2012 03:42 AM

orkidesallskapet_se - Länkar < that looks like a highly dangerous page :D

The Mutant 03-02-2012 12:24 PM

Yes, it was very unnecessary of you to find it and link to it. Darn, now I've found even more vendors to check...

;)

Hi and welcome
I am sure you will find this forum helpful in all aspect of orchid growing! And I hope you will develope your collection with time, though I doubt it will take severel years ;-) by experience and empirical data looking at other forum members "collection grow speed"...

Bud 03-03-2012 07:45 PM

I am excited for you NYCorchidman...I hope you have wider windows and brighter skylines on your next apartment...as for me, I cant move anywhere. I have a 1930's bauhaus rent controlled/stabilized deal. I am stuck with it...

You are right Magnus, when I joined the forum and saw pictures of the other members orchids...my collection doubled in six months

The Mutant 03-04-2012 04:23 AM

Oh, it has developed alright... From eight to 26 in a month!

I think there's a suiting word for describing this condition; it begins with an "in-" and ends with a "sanity".
