Default Hello, my tribe!

Just found my way here as I'm cultivating the idea of having more orchids in my life. I tried once with no success and put it aside for a time. I did manage to keep two orchids divisions I received from my mother that were divided from orchids my grandmother had decades ago. Despite her dividing it with a single leaf and all the atrocities I've heaped on them since, they both still live, though it was a near thing. Tough as nails, these orchids. Finding the semi-hydroponic method rescued them. They've been in s-h for about a year and a half and seem to be loving it. The bulk of my plant collection are Clivia miniata and crosses, but I definitely have plans to get more orchids in my life. Thanks for this space.
