Hi From Greater Manchester, England.
Default Hi From Greater Manchester, England.

I'm Pauline and from last November thanks to my husband, I became an orchid addict. I guess that is better than being a serial orchid killer like some I have seen post elsewhere

Hi pauline, welcome to the forum.
One day some annoying pest will come come to visit you too. They are more reliable than santa.
They come and go and sometimes they do take an orchid with them. It can't be avoided.
The good news is that growers do produce new plants (keiki's from bigger plants) so although lots get lost, in time more get made. Overall in time I hope to make back the plants I have lost learning how to care for them and the ones taken by some insect attack.
If everyone manages to do that then overall in time more would be produced.

It can't be avoided that some give up like in this video which I think many can relate to :

I’ve been very fortunate in that mine haven’t succumbed in the time I’ve had them
