Default Greetings from the Ruhr in Germany

Hello all, I'm an American expat in Germany and new to growing orchids. I've been a vagabond wildlife biologist/ecologist for a couple of decades but with a new family I'm getting a little more settled down and finally able to grow some plants. That said I need to start small as it is likely that we'll move in the next year or two. For now I'm just dipping my toes in the water. I'll be mounting a couple of Dendrobiums on cork (D. tetragonum and a hybrid) and also Haraella retrocalla.

Welcome! Have you already been to Schwerter orchid nursery near Dortmund? It is a 40min. drive and absolutely worth it. Only downside: once you enter, you will automatically spend double the amount of money you planned to

I've ordered from Schwerter but haven't visited...yet. Based on what I've seen online it looks like they have a remarkable set up there.
