Hello from Brooklyn NY
Hi everyone. I’m a garden designer here in NYC. I’ve collected a few orchids (mostly Oncidiums) over the past couple years. Somehow they just fall in my cart while I’m at the nurseries shopping for clients. They never had tags, but now I’m going to ask the nurseries for more information going forward.
Winter is my downtime and I’ve spent hours reading about and watching videos on orchids. I know I can use the word obsessed without being judged. 😄 I just ordered my first Paphiopedilum (lawrenceanum v. hyeanum x sib) orchid, which will be shipped in a few days. And then somehow I ordered a couple of other orchids online. And so it begins. I already know lights will be next...
Looking forward to learning from everyone here.

If you want the most “bang for the buck” in plant lighting, look at the ones sold by theorchidhobbyist.com
