mericlone?

I'm only now beginning to understand since joining this forum how MANY different kinds of orchids there really are. I had no idea until I read somewhere on here the other day that Vanilla comes from a certain type of Orchid...

Judith: A mericlone is a plant grown via tissue culture. It is a good way to get many copies of a fine plant. My forum name "Sharry" is after "Sharry baby" a common variety with millions of copies all over the world. Most supermarkets et al, carry these types because they are cheaper. I alway look at the displays- an encylcia Great find!

It looks like encyclia cordigera the non alba type. The alba type has a white lip with a little pink spot. I like these.

My husband helped me with the repotting last night and we were both pleasantly surprised to see that it was actually two completely separate plants. They came apart easily and fortunately their roots hadn't grown together at all. I was even more pleasantly surprised when I went in this morning and caught a faint, delightful scent! Now I really feel lucky!

For watering, should I let the bark dry mostly out like with my Phals or water a little more frequently, like with my Brassia?
