Cattleya schroederae (?)
Default Cattleya schroederae (?)

Good morning,
I hope everyone is doing great and growing happy plants.

9 years ago I have bought this plant as "Cattleya schroederae".
I have received 3 small and healthy seedlings, potted together.

This is the 2nd year they flower for me, and I am not really sure that they are indeed schroederae and not a hybrid.

The pseudobulbs are about 10cm(4") long and the leaves are around 20cm(8").
The flowers are between 12-15cm(4.7-6") wide and they are (quite) strongly fragrant. They smell somehow floral-sweet and heady, with almond notes.

Can someone, please, help me with the ID?

Thank you,
Dana

Welcome to the Orchid Board!

Beautiful, well grown and flowered. I'm not familiar with Cattleya schroederae.

First, Welcome!
The only one that looks like it might be hybrid is the last, with the really dark labellum but could be a color variant. The others look like classic C. schroederae to me, thought I'm not an expert on them.

Thank you. I thought that it might be a cross with Cattleya trianae or with Cattleya candida
