All that investigation and it's not the tag from that plant! P.I.T.A.

I was being a little too excited and just HOPING the first one to spike would be that one LOL

i found a laundry bin full of various vanda pieces in various states of decline and 8 or tags strewn about the mess. they are all mounted in different spots, mostly the outside east wall of the lath house.

i am optimistic i can get ONE matched with an ID LOL...truth be told i am just glad they are all alive and growing, nice tribute to their former owner

I have to say that DC's photograph of the tag gets a thumbs up for resolution and quality.

Thumbs down about the writing of whatever it is in the red-coloured 'circled' region though hahaha.

this one is really beautiful regardless

oh, and there are still four or five vanda pieces i saved that are growing but have not spiked so i am not giving up on it LOL
Send the above photo to Motes - they might have some idea. They breed this kind of Vanda.

Martin Motes might also recognize the handwriting on that tag.

And the word SP circled in red is probably HOLD - meaning either somebody really wanted to keep that plant, or it was on hold for a customer.

Actually, I think recognize that tag & handwriting. I believe that the plant originated at CLAN (Camp Lots A Noise) Orchids in Sarasota. Not sure whether they are still active.

I don't think so... the only page that displays is the home page. Maybe somebody answers the phone.
