Yep. It usually has a high flower count and they last 6 months at least. This plant has been AOS nominated twice but never awarded. The only other plant that has been awarded had 32 flowers on a single spike! How crazy is that?

WOW!!!! I love the one in your first picture, Silken! It's gorgeous!

Here's mine. The first is a noid I got at safeway this fall and the second is my Great White Noid from Fred Meyers. It was my first orchid. It was more impressive this year. The flowers were about 6 inches across and there were 6 instead of the usual 4. It's also a huge plant.

I thought I'd take a couple of quick pictures this morning. I have 3 Phalaenopsis, all of which are NOID; two are currently in bloom.

As I was doing that, I noticed that the aerial roots on one of them were looking very sad, so I decided on an emergency mid-bloom repot. Good timing, and thanks for the life-saving thread... All the roots in the tightly packed sphagnum (so tightly packed that pouring water on top meant a very slow trickle through the moss) were basically dead. It's now in bark-based medium. I've been meaning to repot it almost since I bought it, but being in near-continuous spike/bud/bloom since then, my better half forbade me messing with it... I think with some TLC I can bring it back

There's a blog post about it if you want to read it here.

Oh, pictures you say? Right:
My second oldest orchid (the one with sad roots):

My newest NOID phal, a gift from a colleague:

Both together this morning (after repotting the sad one):
