Four foot phaenopsis flower stalk
This is an oddity I thought to share. This Phalaenopsis V3 'White Dream' AM/AOS has a flower spike that's over four feet from stem to tip - and still growing.

WOW! That definitely is the tallest spike I've seen so far. Got to love Phals.

That's beautiful, but I'm glad it's in your greenhouse and not on my kitchen table.

That's quite a spike! How long did it last, out of curiosity?

It's impressing me!! The spike has put out its third branch with many buds while there are flowers on the last branch still intact. It has been in flower continuously since I received it. Checking email for the Orchids by Hausermann receipt, it arrived July 25th 2021. That's just shy of eight months in flower with another 2-3 likely from the new branch.

That's awesome! I've been looking for a robust, big flowered white Phalaenopsis and the V3 seems perfect!

Orchids by Hausermann often sells very large plants of this that have finished flowering for the year, for very little money. If anybody in the US wants a huge white Phal. keep an eye on the Hausermann's sale page.
