Krull's Red Dragon...size?
Default Krull's Red Dragon...size?

If anyone has this can you tell me what size it is/what the leaf span is? I only get compact and mini Phals and there is no info about sizing on the Krull-Smith website.
Guess I could call or send email but the last time I called about something else call went to voicemail, left a message and no reply and when I emailed I also received no response.

Guessing from the ancestry... and the fact a 4" / 10cm pot is blooming size... I would expect leaves 4" to 8" long, with a spread 12" to 24".

Hello Avian. I have had Krull's Red Dragon for about a year now. The largest leaf is 6" long -- so that is 12" across the entire plant. However, it is only 3 1/2" tall. It is a shorty!

It blooms continuously. In fact, I have not been able to repot it from it's original spagh medium because it has been constantly in bloom or putting up a spike! I LOVE this little plant.

It's very pretty! Thanks for posting the measurements and the photo. Nice that it blooms continuously. I have been considering ordering it for a while so I think I will do that as well as purchase another orchid I like that Krull-Smith is offering and I can't find anywhere else. My only concern is it is VERY hot right now in So. CA although don't know about the temps in other parts of the country that the orchids will travel through on their way here.

Never ordered from them before but I haven't read any negative comments about them except that they may be a bit pricey.

I'm in the Dallas, Texas area and I've ordered from them in the summer with no problem. They're a great vendor. True, they may be a little more expensive, with them I feel like you get what you pay for, and I always felt like the plants I got from them were worth the price.

I have one too, and can confirm the above, though mine isn't as red (it is from a cross, not a clone). If you like compact super Red Phalaenopsis I would also recommend:

Phalaenopsis 'Sogo Rose 'Sogo F-987' AM/AOS
Phalaenopsis Haur Jih Fancy 'Red Lantern'
Available at Norman's Orchids.
