You can actually look up grow lights on line and it will tell you how many Footcandle they put out. Remember, the length of time the plant receives light is important as well as the wavelength of light.
Happy hunting

I have three links which may help.
Wonderlite Indoor Grow Light for Orchids & Indoor Plants
Growing Orchids Under P. L. Lights
Growing Exotic Orchids under grow lights
Your questions may seem simple, but can easily get quite complicated.
There are many lighting systems.
Each lighting product has different stats about how much light it gives off etc.
Some lights will also give more of one wavelength than another promoting foliage growth vs. blooms.
The simplest solution is what I use: Wonderlite
However, these lights get very very hot to the touch and will burn plants and anything else if it is less than one foot away from the bulb.
You could also call an orchid nursery close by and ask them what they would recommend...
Finally, I think the best information I get is at an orchid show; the presenters and vendors are very friendly and quite knowledgeable about these things.
Maybe someone with more expertise in this area can chime in.
