Sir, thank you for taking the time to show us your little bit of paradise. I eagerly await your next posts. One question, how do you keep the vigorous "thugs" from taking over in your microenvironments? I've never grown micro orchids. I do reasonably well with phals, vandas and the usual suspects though. And dandelions, really well with dandelions.

In nanojungles nano-work, unfortunately, the clock is not nano, but the usual one, for such work I suddenly lost 2 utricularias. The third remained, U. pebescens (humpbacked). But all sprouted with moss, I decided to weed. There is no other way to remove moss.

Given: a mound of moss with rudiments of clogged utricularia.

It turned out that these were not pubescens, but sandersonii, after weeding. Well, or the moss clogged the pubescens so much that it degraded into an earlier form of development.

That looks like the kind of tedious weeding I do in my wildflower area I'm trying to establish. Except mine is a lot bigger space, much harder on the knees, while yours looks like a whole lot of eyestrain.

Speaking of which... I found out I need cataract surgery. Wanna come visit?

Had a feeling you'd say that. I was hoping for a freebie operation, maybe here in my orchid room. Ya know, trade off for a couple of divisions.

Probably better stay here, because my Medicare and ChampVA should cover the cost. But I will note the artificial lens name and ask about it!
