Default Dendrobium anosmum

Hi all,

I have had this one for many years but I never realized that I should have given it a winter rest from watering. So I tried the winter rest last year after learning about it here on Orchid Board. As a result it bloomed on me for the first time last year. I repeated my success this year but now I have two canes producing flower buds! Here is the first flower of the group. It has a wonderfully strong scent of raspberries. I'm so happy I never gave up on it.

That's such a nice feeling to see the first buds form knowing it has survived its thirsty hybernation, isn't it? And yes, the fragrance is intoxicating!

CONGRATULATIONS! Following the culture will definitely reward you with blooms....my anosmum is late to bloom this year, it might just give me keikis instead of flowers....

I'm sure looking at those buds brings life in the home while waiting for all those snow outside melt away.
