Default Dendrobium Hibiki

This is a dendrobium that I recommend for everyone's collection. It is a cross between Dendrobium bracteoseum and Dendrobium laevifolium. The flowers will last for months. The plant is warm growing and makes an excellent specimen plant. There are a couple of mericlones on the market. The flowers on 'Pink Elephants' is darker and larger than the other clone.

Default One Year Later

This is my Dendrobium Hibiki 'Pink Elephant' one year later. It is still in its 4-inch wood basket. I have it hanging under 50% shade cloth. The plant has quite a few buds that have still not opened. The flowers will last for at least three more months. The tallest stalk is about 16 inches tall. I hope some of you have obtained this clone. It makes an excellent specimen plant.

Oh my... I want one. Is it in the basket with moss or bark or just nothing at all? Curious to see whether or not it'll grow or not. Also, is it safe to assume that it'll keep its leaves for at least a couple bloom seasons? Or is it an evergreen type?

The plant is growing in bark. The flowers are on the old stalks that lost their leaves. The new stalks with the nice green leaves will eventually drop their leaves when the stalks mature. These will produce flowers during next blooming season.
