I'm so happy. My Dendrobium spectabile has produced it's very first spike. The plant isn't very big by spectabile standards. I read a helpful hint posted by another OB member which suggested that you could get earlier blooms on younger plants by withholding fertilizer during winter. It looks like they were right.
