They've arrived! The blooms have a sweet cinnamon fragrance that is quite strong. I find these beautifully bizarre!

Oh that is going to be a wonderful blooming!
Judging by the sap in the second last photo on page one that is one happy, happy plant.

I completely agree with all the comments so far, it is quite special.

Can't quite wrap my head around how long it's taken to grow but I think I will join the club with some of mine one day.

In the meantime after a 2 year wait my Dendrobium Anosmum has surprised me with it's first flowering attempt.

Only one but it makes me so happy to see this developing.

Nice! Time for my mantra, "Orchids teach patience". Some teach it more than others. This Den spectabile sure does... Another one in that category is Den speciosum... I see people at shows drooling over $15 seedlings... mature plants tend to cost a LOT more, with good reason... My thought toward those folks, "I hope you are young..." those can easily take 10-15 years to get to blooming size.
