They can be slow for sure! That's why I have to teach these orchids patience.

Only kidding hehe. Actually - once they're going ok and part of the family ..... they'll just do their own thing and keep growing a bit each day - and they will eventually get there to the flowering stage and give us a nice surprise!

Consider it as a feature instead of a drawback!

DC, if you have NOIDs, send pix or links to pix... often leaf shape (and markings if present) can give a clue as to at least which group the Paph is in, which in turn can give an indication of culture needs.

Nice to hear you are a big fan of Saint Swithin paphs too!

Just took a pic of it this morning - as it may have opened up fully now. And also before anything like grasshoppers etc decide to do some chewing!!!!! So better get a pic first at least.

Thanks for your post message HBN! I'm a huge fan of the most excellent orchid information pages that you created over the years! Thoroughly enjoyed (and still do enjoy) reading the info, and seeing the fantastic pics there.

Two more pics so that we can see more 'shoes' (slippers). Sometimes - depending on the angle, reminds me of elf/elven shoes seen in books etc heheh.

That's one sexy looking Paph.
