Good growing, I would have thought paphs would be a real challenge in your climate.

Thank you! It remained in flower for about 3 months, with 4 flowers total.

I use an evaporative cooler in the sunroom. It is rarely over about 85 F / 31C for long in summer. Winters here are warm and sunny most of the time.

Paph roots do cling to LECA. I don't remove it when I repot. I haven't had trouble with roots sticking to plastic. They come off fairly easily.

How much water touches your pathi roots? I use a "no touch" method as shown. Will it be too dry for pathi?

I use traditional S/H culture. The reservoir holes are about an inch/2.5cm above the bottom of the pot. If I'm busy and can't get to watering the reservoir usually holds water for more than a week in my conditions. Plants grow more rapidly in S/H if watered frequently. I wish I had time to water more often.

What you show isn't S/H because there is no reservoir. You're using standard potting with LECA as the medium. Growing like that you'll need to water very frequently.
