Default Phrag Paul Eugene Conroy in Flower

My Phrag Paul Engine Conroy is in flower. This is the first home grown flowers. There are two flowers on the spike and another spike forming two buds.

I grow this in S/H and it seems to just love it and has gone from strength to strength since I re-potted it that way in November 2010. Looking back at old photos I realise how much the plant has grown since then. It's a pretty massive plant.

I love the long long tails on this, which don't really show on the close up pictures. They open much shorter as the pictures below show (taken when the second flower was first open) and then steadily grow over a few days.

The final pics were taken when just one flower was open and the second was still in bud.

Simply stunning! I love this one and I now have my own PEC too. It is growing in rockwool so I don't know how fast it will grow but hopefully it will produce beautiful blooms like yours when it does. It has previously bloomed but there is a new growth which is about half way to being big enough to bloom. I just have to wait now.
