I don't think as much antibiotics would be in horse manure but there would be plenty of different types of wormers.

the worst thing we ever did was to spread horse manure over the vegetable garden. Even after it was dug in, we subsequently had the worst weed plague we have ever had. The hassle outweighed the impressive tomatoes we got. I am sure that we are still getting weeds years later. However in a pot or 2 should be easier to control.
I read up more on the website and am impressed. I used poultry manure ( processed so it didn't smell ) as a top dressing on my catasetums this year with impressive results. I am in for a horse manure vs orchids experiment. Collecting it is good ole exercise too !

You should get properly composted horse manure, if you ever feel like trying it out again.
A batch of nicely rotted horse manure doesn't have any weeds left.

My dad used cow manure, as we had dairy farm down the road. He also used some in his Calanthe terrestrial mix.
