Default Cymbidium ensifolium Hong Mao (紅貓), new growths

One of the seedling plants I bought 2 years ago from a local nursery (in Seoul, Korea), supposedly imported from Taiwan.

One of the most interesting young growths I've ever seen in my opinion...the new lead emerges covered with intense purple colored bracts, and it sends out pale yellow, almost white leaves which gradually turns solid green; possibly due to the delayed production of chlorophyll in the leaves. Quite interesting to look at.

Btw, it is suppose to have peloric flowers with deep pink color, which adds another wow-factor to the plant...I hope I finally get to see its flowers this year.

I'll have to look out for this one. Always love interesting foliage.

What media mix are you using to grow this?
