Pleione collection freshly potted
Default Pleione collection freshly potted

My pleione all broke dormancy early this year. Here is what they all look like after many hours of repotting. My fridge sure has alot more space now that's for sure. There are many species and a few hybrids.

I'm trying out a few new vendors this year so there will be many bloom pics to come and you guys can help me vet them to see if they are what they claim to be.

Edit: The images were flipped and I'm not sure how to flip them back

WOW! They look great!

How long do you keep them in the refrigerator? I might have to consider venturing into this group again. I tried once and it didn't go well. Mainly (I'm sure) because I didn't do the fridge thing and it ended up being a complete failure.

Where do you get your Pleione?

I just pulled my formosanum out of the fridge and potted it a few days ago. It went in early November.

I put them in the fridge as soon add they drop their leaves in the fall. September-November time. Only the spring booming ones though, the fall booming ones need to remain warm during their rest period. It took alot of time and research to find the vendors that ship to the U.S. they are so hard to find here.

For those who were asking, I do sell my extras and have them available on eBay. But keep in mind that many are new and I haven't bloomed them yet, so I'm trusting the vendors that the plant tags are correct. Thanks

This is soo cool!!! I've never ventured into this before. How do you keep them happy when they are growing. Also, checking out your ebay page NOW!

The website below is THE place to get all the pleione growing info. Currently, all of mine are entering or in dormancy and will be put in the fridge in the next few weeks. Keep cold until spring when they start to grow. Pot up but don't water until the roots are a few inches long. Hope this helps.
