Default coelogyne ovalis

this is the coelogyne ovalis that made, and aborted, about 6 spikes earlier this year. Luckily, 1 spike made it so I thought I would show it off.

I really like the lip on this one. Do you have any idea why the other spikes aborted? Does ovalis have a scent?

i think it was the late hot spell we got that caused it to abort - i was not very happy.
I can't smell any perfume, but I do have a cold right now..
