Thanks all for your complimentary comments. The plant is confined to a 4-inch clay pot placed in a wooden basket for support. The plant is overhanging over the sides of the clay pot. The plant is grown under 50% shade cloth. With our weather in Hawaii, it gets sunlight almost all year round. The plant gets fertilized once per week (1 tsp per gallon) along with my other orchids. The plant has been growing in size and has bloomed before. This is the first year with so many inflorescences though. The plant has been in bloom for two weeks now.

One more question...

what medium is in the clay pot?

Thanks

I'm still drooling over this one!

Hi Susanne. The plant is grown in New Zealand sphagnum moss. The plant has not been repotted for 3-4 years. I plan to leave the plant alone unless the plant shows some distress from deterioration of the media.

What wonderful growing!! That is a fantastic plant and I hope it's a good time to present it for judging somewhere. Surely it deserves an award.
