Default Vaughnara Golden Spice

I can't take credit for this cutie- took my sister to visit Paradise Orchids yesterday, and this came home with me. Very compact, from rhizome to leaf tips is maybe 6-7" and growth habit looks tight. Don't detect a fragrance. Parentage is Bl. Richard Mueller x. Epi. stanfordianum, and am told it blooms several times a year.

Nice. I could hope for more vivid color from this cross, but the spots, compact size and frequent blooming make up for it.

Small correction on the name. Bepi. (Brassoepidendrum) leaves out one grandparent. It was Bpl. (Brassoepilaelia) when it was registered in 1996. It is considered Vnra. (Vaughnara) now. The change coming from L. milleri becoming C. milleri, so Bl. Richard Mueller switched to Bc.

Very pretty. I sure do like the sounds of twice a year blooming.

Great colour pattern.

Blooms started opening last week on this again- colors look a little more intense, perhaps it has a touch of that Mueller fade? Speaks well for it being a frequent and forgiving bloomer anyhow.
