Default Slc. Aloha Jewel "Ho May"

I can't take credit for blooming this, but I will enjoy it . I bought this from C.R. Orchids in British Columbia when he was here last Sunday for a presentation and plant sale at our orchid society meeting. It was in bud and 4 of the 5 buds have opened now.

love it! I'm finding I really love red/orange blooms
the blooms look dainty - how big are they? how big is the plant?

Thanks. The plant is about 10 inches tall from its tallest leaf to the top of the potting media. It's a nice mature plant with about 10 or 12 pseudobulbs and another one with a bloom sheath. If it is going to develop, it will be a while, Maybe a twice a year bloomer? The flowers are only 2 1/4 inches wide but in a nice showy cluster of 5. Not scented that I have noticed.

It was a find! I had ordered 3 NBS Cattleya crosses for a total of $30.00. Somehow he got the order mixed up and he only came with 2 of my 3 so he gave me this one which was listed as $30.00. I paid $10.00 for it and for each of the other two which are good sized also and potted in 5 inch pots (this in a 6" pot). The other 2 aren't in bud but both have new growths and are well established plants.
