Default Cattleya loddigesii

This is a seedling of C. loddigesii 'Aranda B' HCC/AOS x 'Sweetheart' AM/AOS. The picture was taken on the morning after the flower opened.

Thanks for the kind comments.

And Steve, I hope it will have a scent, but it doesn't yet. This is the fourth day since the flower opened, so if it's going to put out a detectable fragrance, today would be about time to start.

Hopefully they will be scented. I have a selfed plant of C. loddigesii coerulea 'Blue Sky,' and although the flowers are beautiful, they're not fragrant (and the plant was advertised as having "very fragrant" blooms). I used to have a pink-flowered loddigesii, and it did have very nicely fragrant flowers. So maybe with this species it's just a hit-or-miss kind of thing as far as scent goes. Good luck!
