Default Cattleya warscewiczii or caveat emptor

I bought this plant from a guy on EBay last year, and it's now flowering for the first time. It was sold as a cross of two alba versions of Cattleya warscewiczii, but I'm getting a funny feeling that maybe I should have brushed up on my Latin prior to making the purchase. Can anyone who is familiar with this species please let me know what you think? Obviously it's not an alba. But does it look like warscewiczii? Thank you.

Yes, it's just starting to send out roots now. They began forming while the buds were still growing in the sheath. I think this might be a hybrid, but I don't have any experience with C. warscewiczii (although I did read that roots aren't produced until after it's finished flowering).

If the article was written by A.A. Chadwick. I've read the same one. I have not flowered any yet. I have only a couple of seedlings which I hope are still alive and kicking. While the front lobe of the lip I've seen before, the yellow in the throat has me questioning it. I hope someome comes along that has more experience with these.

Steve,

Good news. I just got a reply back from someone that has grown Cattleya warscewiczii for a long time. I hope you don't mind I sent him a copy of one of you photos. He said your's appears to be a gigas (warscewiczii). He also mentioned that his plants also root while in bloom.

On the colour thing, I'm sure I remember reading something from Mauro once which talked about the fact that a cross of two alba cattleya could 'revert to type'. It was somethind to do with the genes of an alba and which colour was dominant and which was recessive.
