Default Brassavola subulifolia

An easy-growing species from Jamaica, Brassavola subulifolia (formerly cordata) likes lots of light, warmth and humidity during the summer. Actually, it would probably prefer these conditions throughout the year; however, living in a temperate climate means that it has to make do with lower light, water and humidity levels during the winter months. Still, considering its Caribbean origins, this species has adapted quite nicely to the less-than-ideal conditions that it's forced to deal with during the colder months.

This year the plant's produced six flower spikes and around seventy blooms, which are highly fragrant at night.

Yes, winter is the only season that I've gotten it to bloom.
