Default Cattleya maxima var. concolor & C. maxima lowland ssp.

The first photo shows a concolor Cattleya maxima that is blooming for the first time for me. The plant is still small and already gave three flowers!

The next two photos show an adult, vigorous plant of the lowland sub-species bearing two spikes. I am always impressed with the number of flowers this species can hold! Fantastic!

I'm a big sucker for concolor plants. I've never seen a maxima concolor. Excellent.

I like both the concolor and the normal variety. Looks great!

Mauro is in Brazil and I don't know that he's active here on OB anymore.

I got a concolor maxima this spring (2014) from Clown Alley Orchids here in Texas. I don't know what it would take to get this plant to Canada though.

Doing well! I'm hoping to get a bloom in the next few months. My concolor is a VERY pale variety.
