SVO New Cattleyas 2024!
Default SVO New Cattleyas 2024!

I was ordering 30 minutes after the email hit my mailbox! Had a feeling today was going to be the day, glad I checked! I told myself I wouldn't order anything this year but I could pass on any of these...

SVO9533t - C. dowiana (C. dowiana 'Midas Touch' AM/AOS x self)
SVO9534 - C. dowiana (C. dowiana 'Midas Touch Too' x self)
SVO9654t - C. dowiana (C. dowiana v. aurea 'SVO Gold Lip' x self)
SVO9854 - Diacm. (Caul.) bicornutum (x self)
SVO10159 - Iwan. Appleblossom (Dial. Snowflake 'H and R' 4n x Blc. Orange Nugget 'Kadaoka')
SVO10049 - C. Chocolate Drop (C. Chocolate Drop 'SVO' AM/AOS x self)

I got:

SVO9533t - 3inch C. dowiana (C. dowiana 'Midas Touch' AM/AOS x self)
SVO9654t - 3inch C. dowiana (C. dowiana v. aurea 'SVO Gold Lip' x self)
SVO9790 - 3inch C. walkeriana ( C. walkeriana ('Sakura Snowball' x 'Perfect Blush') x C. walkeriana 'Tokyo No.1' AM/AOS)

almost got the Iwan. appleblossom but I have limited space and the others were calling to me. I'll probably regret it since this is a remake with the potential for new varieties..

I’m so envious. I am not away of anywhere in the UK offering such a good and varied selection

I bought the Lc. Miss Wonderful mericlone that leads the parade at our club meeting when he spoke to us on mini Catt breeding on the 15th. I'll get a few more now.

It appears CITES and other red tape has really stymied the orchid trade in the UK/Europe. It's too bad you guys cant get some of this stuff.

CITES doesn't affect trade in hybrids nor flasks, but oppressive import regulation does.

I usually receive email from SVO but didn't get this one about the 2024 Cattleya list. I generally don't order sight unseen any more and just go down to Vista during the open house but still would be nice to have received the link to the list.

Update: Never mind...it was in my spam folder.
