Default cattleya maxima, not my plant but should be seen

Not my plant, but grown by a fellow local OS member which I regard to be an excellent orchid grower and it should be seen and admired. Plant is grown in a greenhouse with managed water, air flow and temperature control
This is a cattleya maxima, lowland variety with tall pseudobulbs and light colors,, very nicely grown and bloomed. Plant has, at time of picture, a combined open flowers and bulb count of 17.
I have tried growing maxima many moons ago and for some reason we just did not get along and plant withered away.
Enjoy.

That's a beauty! And look at the size of the pot it's in... how in the world does it stay upright?
