Lc. Tenebrosa?
I bought this seedling two years ago under the name of Rlc Elizabeth Palmer x Goldenzelle and it bloomed for the first time, 9 flowers, but it looks like the Cattleya tenebrosa from what I have seen. I don't know if it will have fragrance .

Looks to me like a very nice aurea-form Cattleya tenebrosa. (or at least has lots of aurea in its background)Certainly not what you were expecting, but it's lovely and is growing really well for you.

That's a interesting mistake. I might think the seedlings would look quite different. Elizabeth Palmer is shown on the Palmer Web site:
Rth. Elizabeth Palmer 'Palmer Orchids' — Palmer Orchids
Goldenzelle does have long leaves but not as proportionally long as tenebrosa.
Your hybrid is also on the Palmer Web site:
Rth. Elizabeth Palmer x Goldenzelle — Palmer Orchids
I wouldn't think an experienced orchidist would confuse the two plants based on plant morphology. But maybe Palmer received a mislabeled flask. |

Wow! Nice one merita! Looks like they gave you a tenebrosa ----- fully agreeing of the aurea sort. That will teach them for giving the wrong one hehehe. Ended up with such a nice plant there.

Definitely a Tenebrosa Aurea, mine is blooming for the first time right now and it is identical.
If you took a poll 95% of folks would prefer the tenebrosa aurea, it is a special plant. Good growing! Cheers!
