I can nearly smell trianae-fragrance! Both your plants look very species-like, I like that a lot better than perfect-stance-breeding.
We can leave that for hybrids. But sadly, over here where I live, Cattleya noids are small flowered, bad shaped and downright ugly. Very seldomly there is a good one for sale!
Lovely to see fine species thanks to ob!

To be honest, i was hoping for a little better shape on both C.trianae. I love the broad petals this C.trianae can have. Unfortunately they both (and a 3rd coming up in few days) do not show this. The quality of flower is for sure not a fraction as it should be, due to the time of year here in Holland EU, it is dark, very dark sometimes, with very little sun these days. It does no good at all for the development of buds. But it is what it is! It is C.trianae season, so here they are, best as i could get them.
And true! The fragrance is wonderful!
