My Varut startrack has opened it's first flowers.
They are still a bit wonky being the first flowers and this variety is a bit of a gamble, the variance on the flowers can be quite big.
Although it's a bit of a color bomb explosion I am quite happy with it.

An attractive colour combo and I like the waxy texture too.

Wow ------ love the shape and the colours. The waxy feature mentioned by jcec1 is very nice. Reminds me of a waxy apple ------ the sheen on it. Nice. Excellent pic shade.

I'm now a startrack fan!

With more maturity, that’s going to be spectacular! Well done.

thanks everyone.
The left flower is still opening but I think it will turn out better than I thought. I am also highly anticipating this one to have a strong fragrance. There's no reason it shouldn't based on the parentage so fingers crossed that kicks in as soon as they are fully open.

I should apologise for the early picture, was too eager to show it off but it lets you see how it has changed.
I'm quite amazed really. It's been great to watch it color up over the past couple of days and the first signs of a fragrance has come through today

No apology! It's great to see buds unfurling, then in full glory. Especially one like this. I read up on it a bit, and one of the things said was the colors change and darken as it opens and goes to full bloom. Quite evident from your pictures. This one moved from my Want List to my Need List. It's stunning.

Where did you get it? How big does it get? Why does it look so cool?
