Taken from OrchidWiz:

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Peru in wet montane forests at elevations around 2500 meters. -- Source: Jay Pfahl's IOSPE at Internet Orchid Species Photo Encyclopedia

Grow in cool conditions (14 to 19ºC at night) and bright indirect light.

The habitat description above will tell you a lot.

The parameter that jumps out at me is "2500 meters" - DC, I think that this one wants to keep company with your Pleurothallids.

Looks like Jay Pfahl updated the listing after it was quoted in OW. (Always best to go to the source if available. Jay stays up-to-date with the literature, will report new information when he gets it. OW doesn't necessarily go back and see what new material Jay may have with each revision, probably impossible to do) Current listing says 1300-3100 m. Still relatively high elevation , relatively cool growing, but indicates a much wider range and therefore more forgiving. Reference also indicates that it can grow fairly bright. Again, the updated info just indicates that this plant is likely pretty adaptable.

Haha well, she arrives tomorrow. Ecuagenera called it intermediate so I will hope the winter will acclimate her and also be ready to move her into the bathroom if the spring starts to cook her…..

So far all the prosthechea have been very adaptable

Well ecuagenera does not disappoint.

Arrived in spike. Two actually. A very healthy specimen.

I mounted it to a pine board. I will not keep it with the other pros but instead will keep on the bright side of the bulbo area in the lath house. Consistent shade. Never gets the full sun and I am more mindful to water so they all stay cooler year round.

I checked and ecuagenera has it listed as intermediate. 🙄

Heh heh we shall see

Worst case I have to move her to indoor and make that living wall I have been contemplating for a while….
