I received this Epidendrum ciliare from Dollythehun here on the orchidboard (thanks again! ). I had neglected it while I was finishing up school, job hunting, and moving cross-country. But... now that I've settled in San Diego, it seems to be turning around. Spiking for the first time for me!

I've been growing this outdoors year round in SD, full sun. Coarse bark, terracotta pot. Watering everyday while in growth, once or twice a week when not in active growth.

Detected a faint citrusy fragrance in the morning. Hopefully it will be stronger at night.
