A good place to get some nice ones is at SVO, they have some great breeding going on there. I follow SVO on Facebook and they post some mouth watering gorgeous mini Catts. Such a shame that I can't order any from over here on the other side of the pond!

Gotta love orchids where the flowers are as big as the plant.

Along with Sunset Valley Orchids and Gold Country, another source is Diamond Orchids, Peter T. LIn (not to be confused with Peter Lin of Big Leaf Orchids in Texas who specializes in Phals)

These came from Gold Country Orchids and Diamond Orchids. Both are really awesome breeders. I have about 14 total, most from the same two vendors, with one from Sunset Valley Orchids and another from High Desert Orchids. I will be adding a few more from SVO in February when Fred is supposed to release his 2021 list of Catts. The minis tend to sell out quickly though, so definitely sign up for the emails or follow them on Facebook

They really are charming

And yeah, the Pink Pearl surprised me. 1: it’s a first bloom. 2: the L. alaorii is a parent. I love my two little alaoriis but they definitely don’t have the best shape compared to other Catts. I assumed that the flowers on primary hybrids would lean towards the more cupped shape of the alaorii but apparently not! Seems like it passes on all of the good traits from that species (not as demanding of light, ultra vigorous, small size, frequent blooming as I just noticed two more growths with buds developing), and leaves the bad ( just the flower shape). I have two other alaorii crosses that are just tiny seedlings and displaying the same vigorous growth as the Pink Pearl

YESSSSS, I'm already saving my pennies (and shelf space) for the new SVO list in February!

Gorgeous, and Im sure I could make space for them, outside on the shelves, inside next to the tv, the dining table ( who needs a dining table these days) Im sure I could do with a bit less kitchen counter too.
