Talking SVO Cattleya hybrid

I am loving some of these SVO Cattleya hybrids

First bloom on this little thing bought last year. Slc. Purple Doll ‘Midnight Velvet’ AM/AOS x Pot. Rubescence ‘SVO’ AM/AOS, it’s a fairly small/compact grower and the color on it is gorgeous. The camera didn’t even come close to picking up the glowing, neon shades. I’m actually pretty surprised it’s so intense, I normally don’t get such nicely colored flowers that develop during a heat wave. It seems to have a pretty nice shape too for being a first bloom. The flower is fairly large, it flattened out after a few days, and developed a nice spicy, floral fragrance. These pics were taken only a day after it opened, it’s been a few weeks now and it’s holding up nicely.

Beautiful - photos are great, I know what you mean about the camera not coming close to capturing all of the "put on your sun glasses" intensity.

That one opened up so nicely. Excellent pics!

Beautiful flower and colour. The magenta (or insert name here colour hehe) is incredibly nice. That is true that seeing the flower on-location with our own eyes will have visual details that our camera system isn't able to capture.

That's a gorgeous bloom. I am also a big fan of the SVO hybrids! Your flower is one of the most beautiful I've seen yet.
