Default Laelia milleri - Sheath pattern

I wonder what is the pattern in relation with new sheaths.
I have a new leaf which doesn't seem to have any sheath. Should it be visible already or does it grows later?

rbarata - if the bulb has grown to the stage where you can actually look all the way down into the base - where the leaf is attached to the bulb (on the upper-leaf side) ------ and if there's no signs of sheath --- then this will just mean no sheath will develop for this latest bulb.
